The Massachusetts Housing & Shelter Alliance (MHSA) is partnering with Boston artist Derek “Big D” Cummings of BTF Entertainment for today’s song release of “Help The Homeless.” The song is now available on iTunes for $1, with 100 percent of proceeds going toward MHSA in support of our mission to end homelessness in Massachusetts.
“The Massachusetts Housing & Shelter Alliance (MHSA), a nonprofit dedicated to ending homelessness in Massachusetts through permanent housing solutions, is proud to partner with Boston’s famous rapper, Big D, on his song, ‘Help The Homeless.’ Big D has graciously decided to donate all proceeds from song purchases to MHSA to help bring our most vulnerable neighbors—homeless individuals and families—home for good,” stated Kendra Hanlon, Director of Development at MHSA.
Along with government, private sector partners and nearly 100 member agencies statewide, MHSA provides and promotes sustainable solutions to homelessness.
“Money, fame or success should not define you as a person. How much effort you put in today and how you make others feel is what really matters. Listening to ‘Help The Homeless’ helps us realize that we are all the same, and it’s all about helping each other,” explained Big D, President and CEO of BTF Entertainment, LLC. Big D is known for his hit song “Boston Strong.”
