Mark your calendar to attend Remember When, at the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline. It’s a delightful, original musical designed to help fund important research and build awareness of the power of music in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
Remember When is a live one-woman show that follows a young woman on her path to self-discovery and renewal as she takes the audience on a musical adventure. Accompanied by an amazing jazz trio from the New England Conservatory of Music, it features songs made popular during the early adult years of the majority of people now suffering from Alzheimer’s. Research shows that music from this time can still trigger mental activity and positive behavioral changes even for those in the late stages of the disease. Besides that, it’s simply great music. You’re sure to leave on a musical high!
Free to the public, but a donation to local nonprofit Cure Alzheimer’s Fund is requested – 100% goes directly toward funding promising research. Don’t miss the pre-show talk by renowned Alzheimer’s researcher, Dr. Rudolph Tanzi.
