April 7, 2018 at 7pm friends of the Travis Roy Foundation, Inc. will host the 8th annual “Spring Fling” fundraiser at the Hotel Commonwealth in Boston. The evening begins with special programming for distinguished friends and donors to the Travis Roy Foundation, and progresses into a festive party with live music and an open bar for hundreds of supporters. Our singular goal is to raise money for survivors of spinal cord injuries.
The Travis Roy Foundation is an organization devoted to improving the lives of people touched by spinal cord injuries. Travis Roy’s life was irreparably changed when 11 seconds after gliding onto the ice for his very first hockey game playing for Boston University, tragedy struck. Travis was a 20-year-old athlete, and suddenly, he was a quadriplegic.
Through his namesake foundation, Travis and countless volunteers have spent the last two decades helping others to those who have suffered similar fates; raising millions for research, as well as providing wheelchairs and adaptive equipment to those in need after a catastrophic injury.
