Partners In Development will host its 18th Annual Benefit on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 6 – 10 pm at the Vittori-Rocci Post​, located at  143 Brimbal Ave., Beverly, MA​. The event will include a delicious dinner, silent auction, raffle, dance performances and PID Crafts which are handmade items from Haiti & Guatemala including bags, jewelry, wall hangings, blankets and more!

Dr. Steven L. Bridge will be this year’s guest speaker at Partners In Development’s 18th Annual Benefit highlighting a gem small business initiative in “Diamonds in the Rough: PID’s Haiti Small-Business Initiative.” Dr. Steven L. Bridge, began working with PID in 2004, as the overseer of the International Service Trips to Haiti.  He merged his love of gem cutting with his desire to help develop the small businesses in Haiti.  Steven L. Bridge is currently a professor of theology at Saint Joseph’s College, where he has taught since 2000. He has authored over a hundred articles and several critically-acclaimed books. Bridge’s research has taken him around the world, including stints in Israel, Jordan, Turkey, Greece, Italy, and Malta. In his spare time, Bridge dabbles in geology, gem cutting, and historical archaeology.  He lives in Standish, Maine with his wife, Camilla, and his four children.
