Mayor Martin J. Walsh and his Office of New Bostonians (MONB), is hosting its We Are Boston Anniversary Gala on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. Broadway, film and TV star Vanessa Williams will take the stage with her dynamic vocals to celebrate this 10th anniversary.  Guests will enjoy a culinary dine-around reception, multi-cultural performances and a live auction.  An awards presentation by Mayor Martin J. Walsh honoring Pulitzer Prize Winning author, Junot Díaz and James Beard Award Winner and host of the Emmy-nominated show Simply Ming, chef Ming Tsai.  Attendees will have the opportunity to witness firsthand the impact immigrants have brought to strengthen and invigorate Boston.  The gala will be held at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel, attracting 1,000 attendees.  For more information about the gala, contact AJ Williams Events at (671) 267-2244.

The Office of New Bostonians Fund was created to accept contributions from individuals, organizations, and local and private business for the purpose of funding the Immigrant Integration and Empowerment Initiative, New Americans Library Corners, English for New Bostonians, Immigration Advice Clinics, and mini-grants for Boston-based, immigrant-led, and immigrant-serving nonprofit organizations.  For more information about the gala and sponsorships, contact MONB’s new event planner, AJ Williams at AJ Williams Events.
