Despite losing an eye in the attack, Kelley remained on active duty and eventually retired with the rank of Captain in 1990. He most recently served as the Massachusetts Secretary of Veterans Affairs from 2003-2011.
“Each year we come together for the Army Navy Football game to cheer on our favorite team and more importantly raise money to support the families of deployed and fallen troops,” said Bob Ahern, President of The Ahern Family Charitable Foundation. “We are looking forward to continuing this tradition and seeing all the veterans, families and friends at this year’s event.”
