WHAT: Leave No One Behind is the signature fundraising event to support the many programs and services at the New England Center and Home for Veterans (NECHV). All proceeds will benefit NECHV’s capital needs, clinical support services, and the onsite Veterans Training School. The event is an occasion to honor and appreciate the military service and sacrifice of those who serve and have served.
Hosted by Master of Ceremonies, NBC10 Boston and NECN Chief Meteorologist Matt Noyes, this year’s event will mark the 100th anniversary of the Armistice that ended World War I on November 11, 1918, which became established as Veterans Day, a national holiday to honor all who have served in the military.
Each year at Leave No One Behind, a Veteran is recognized with the “Battlefield Citation” award for their achievements both during and after their call of duty. The 2018 event will also honor Medal of Honor Recipient Captain Thomas G. Kelley, USN (Retired), with the Brian A. Brooks Distinguished Service to Veterans Award.
