Boston Senior Home Care is pleased to announce this year’s annual fundraiser, “An Evening by the Sea”, to be held on Thursday, November 9 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at one of Boston’s finest landmarks, the New England Aquarium. Along with spending an evening among penguins and sea turtles, the event will feature delicious food and drinks, live music and a silent auction. Rich DiMare, Boston’s best lounge singer and elite party DJ, will act as this year’s MC and lead performer.
“An Evening by the Sea” is the largest fundraising event of the year for our agency. Our goal for this year’s event is to raise $170,000 dollars. These funds will help provide our consumers with the essential services, programs, and items needed to live safely and independently in their home when no other means of support exist. Since 1974, Boston Senior Home Care has provided care management services and programs to low-income, isolated elders and disabled individuals in inner-city Boston. Last year, over 7,000 individuals were provided with vital services such as bathing, dressing, grocery shopping, and meal preparation keeping them out of nursing homes and enabling them to be where they want to be…at home.
