Urban Improv celebrates the 20th anniversary of Banned in Boston, a madcap musical revue that raises funds for interactive drama programs to help young people in Boston explore the challenging situations they face in their daily lives.

Banned in Boston ’15 – The Boston Survival Guide offers downright useless tips for surviving life in the Hub. The event will honor Patrick Lyons of The Lyons Group, a supporter of the event since its inception. Hosted by Matt Siegel of Kiss 108, the cast features some of the region’s leading media, business, non-profit and political leaders, all who put aside dignity and pride to help raise money for Urban Improv. Tickets are located at http://www.urbanimprov.org/bib-tickets-and-sponsorship/.

This year’s cast includes MA Governor Charlie Baker, Attorney General Maura Healey, Congressmen Jim McGovern and Seth Moulton, MA Secretary of Education Jim Peyser, Boston City Council Ayanna Pressley, MA State Senator Sonia Chang-Díaz, Aerosmith’s Tom Hamilton, personalities from NESN, WEEI, WBUR, WGBH, WCVB, musician Sally Taylor, Sam Kennedy of the Boston Red Sox, Paul Grogan from The Boston Foundation and many, many more.

Banned in Boston ’15 raises funds for Urban Improv, a non-profit organization that uses interactive drama programs to help young people in Boston explore the challenging situations they face in their daily lives. Urban Imporv takes students through workshops where they role-play scenarios based on their own choices and experience the consequences of their actions in a safe environment.
