The Blue Hill Weather Observatory and Science Center (BHO), a registered National Historic site located in Milton, Ma, is the oldest continuously operating weather observatory in the United States.  The BHO is an educational center for over 10,000 children a year, many of whom come from economically challenged families, as well as a museum and a benchmark for global warming.  The mission of the BHO is to provide atmospheric education while ensuring that the oldest and most homogeneous climate record in North America continues uninterrupted.   The BHO is also launching a capital Campaign to restore its historic Eliot Tower and to add two classrooms for educational programming. The Blue Hill Weather Observatory is at a critical, capacity-building time in its history and with your kind support we can continue our meritorious work.  We are a 501 (C) 3 organization whose mission is to foster public understanding and appreciation for atmospheric science, while continuing to maintain a meticulous record of weather observations and long-term study of climate.
