Hundreds of Runners to Lace-up for a Good Cause on Thanksgiving Day at The 19th Annual Boston Volvo Village 5K Road Race

5k allows participants to raise their heart rate and money 

WHAT: It’s turkey trot time again and Ray Ciccolo’s Boston Volvo Village of Brighton is sponsoring its 19th Annual 5k Road Race to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater New England Chapter.

The Boston Volvo Village 5K Road Race has become a tradition for hundreds of runners each year. The race begins at Boston Volvo Village, winds through the streets of Brighton and ends where it began at the dealership. Registration is $20 online through 11:00am on Tuesday November 22th at www.RunMSgne.com or $25 on-site the morning of the race.

WHO: Anyone who is looking to raise money for the National MS Society, Greater New England Chapter. First 750 people to register receive a free race T-shirt and prizes will be given to the top finishers.

WHEN: Thanksgiving Day, November 24th, 2016

Registration begins at 7:30am

Registration closes at 8:30am

Race starts at 9:00am

WHY: For more than 60 years, the Greater New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (www.MSnewengland.org) has provided help for today and hope for tomorrow to nearly 21,000 individuals and families affected by MS in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont.  Funds raised by runners and sponsors of the Boston Volvo Village 5k Road Race help fund cutting edge research to stop disease progression, restore lost function, and end MS forever.
