Spend your Monday mornings dabbling in creativity with a refreshing course that introduces contemporary use and techniques of Chinese Ink and Watercolor. The four-class session meets on Mondays in April from 10:00-11:30am:

  • April 9 | The Line is Talking
  • April 16 | Dots are Moving
  • April 23 | Collage
  • April 30 | About Brush Strokes

Materials will be provided. The fee is non-refundable unless the class is cancelled by BCNC.

 

Artist Bio: Chris Chou is a painter with roots from Taiwan who has found a home in Boston. Chris completed her B.A. at the National Taiwan Academy of Art and her M.F.A. at Boston University’s College of Fine Arts. Her educational background has also been enriched by having completed programs at Kapiolani College, New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture, and the Office of the Arts at Harvard University. Chris’s teaching experience includes Boston University’s College of Fine Arts, Scuola Internazionale di Grafica, National Dong Hwa University, Central Academy of Fine Arts, and the Art Institute of Boston. Chris has won numerous awards and recognitions for her work– including the Guggenheim’s Fellow Award in 2007. The Mayor’s Gallery Boston City Hall is among one of the places she has had the honor of hosting solo exhibitions. The color red–in particular– is a trademark to the vitality that painting has marked her life.
