WHAT: Batter up! The sixth annual “Field of Dreams” WiffleBall Tournament and Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, May 9th from 11:00am-6:00pm at the Boston Athletic Club in South Boston. This day-long event consists of 32 teams competing throughout in the afternoon with music, prizes, a cookout, raffle and more fun for the whole family!
Boston Police Superintendent Paul Fitzgerald organized the “Field of Dreams” WiffleBall Tournament and Fundraiser with his wife, Leigh Anne, five years ago after their daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and became a patient at Joslin Diabetes Center. Since it began, “Field of Dreams” has raised over $290,000 with 100% of the proceeds from this volunteer-run event going toward Joslin to support their mission to end diabetes.
