Joslin Diabetes Center’s 20th annual High Hopes Gala celebrates patients, caregivers, donors and researchers, while spotlighting the leading-edge patient care and innovative research initiatives that make Joslin the world leader in the fight against diabetes. The fabulous black-tie event benefits Joslin Diabetes Center’s High Hopes Fund, which directly supports the Center’s greatest efforts to identify breakthrough advancements in diabetes research and in providing world-renowned clinical care.

This year’s Global Achievement Award will go to T.J. Maxx for their long-time support of Joslin to help raise funds and awareness. Henry Gay, age 11, is the Spotlight on Hope honoree and will serve as a positive diabetes advocate. Joslin’s 2020 Merritt Levitan Youth Ambassador, Toby Welo, 17, will be honored for his continued work to support a cure for diabetes.

The evening, emceed by JC Monahan of WCVB, will begin with a lively cocktail reception offering the opportunity for VIP sponsors to mingle with special guest Vince Wilfork, former New England Patriots player. The Gala will feature entertainment and an evening of dancing, a silent auction, and a live auction led by auctioneer John Terrio. Guests will have the chance to win a front row Bruins tickets, a Vince Wilfork autographed jersey and football, tickets to see Celine Dion in concert, and more.
