Kids Really Rock is a free, full-day, festival taking place on Sunday, October 1 at The Lawn On D Powered by Citizens Bank. Now in its 5th year, Kids Really Rock is the largest family music festival in the Northeast hosting over six thousands attendees throughout the day. This fun-filled event features two stages of performances by nationally-acclaimed, family-friendly bands as well as hands-on art and activities that focus on kindness and building community. Attendees encouraged to bring Play-Doh donations for Horizons for Homeless Children, this year’s non-profit partner.

The all-star lineup includes some of the country’s best musicians, many based in Boston: Latin Grammy Award Winner Mister G; Grammy Nominee Alastair Moock; local favorite (and Kids Really Rock creator) Karen K & the Jitterbugs; Josh & the Jamtones; Ben Rudnick & Friends; Debbie & Friends; Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys; the Stacey Peasley Band; and Matt Heaton and the Outside Toys; and for the special event After Party, hip-hop artist MC Kabir and the Mr. Aaron Band.

The event also features a My Little Pony the Movie coloring station, and local favorite Keytar Bear, Boston’s favorite busker, entertaining from the Lawn.  With PLAY as the theme, other activities include fitness and games at the MyGym Fitness Made Fun station; Crayon-inspired Mobile Making with Kidcasso Art Studio; Bracelet Making with the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston; a giant Play-Doh station; an interactive Musical Playground; a Big Brown Box play area; and more.
