Social and Emotional Learning Symposium for Middle and High School

This year, Project Adventure will host the first annual Social and Emotional Learning Symposium. The symposium will consist of morning and afternoon sessions featuring speakers from Panorama Education, Social-Emotional Learning Alliance for Massachusetts, and Courage to Lead as well as a panel of school administrators from Danvers, North Andover, CREST Collaborative, and Lawrence.

Participants will be given the chance to experience their social and emotional learning through breakout sessions on mindfulness, advisories, building community with athletics, and developing empathy. Each session is designed to highlight the importance of building social and emotional learning competencies and the lasting effects experiential learning has on these skills. Participants will also be given the time to share and collaborate around SEL practices with colleagues from across districts before leaving with new ways to implement social and emotional learning curricula.
