The Wildflower Camp Foundation’s premier event of the year, The Wildflower Gala, will take place on Wednesday evening, September 9th in the beautiful Lighthouse at the Seaport Hotel, Boston. It will be a wonderful celebration of Wildflower’s important mission, accomplishments and vision for future impact.

With a Gala fundraising goal of $200,000, we plan to use the increased resources to directly impact our current families and meet the unmet need of grieving families who would benefit from the gift of camp for their children. Our Board is thoughtfully considering several new initiatives to support and expand the breadth of services we offer the bereaved community during our second decade. A successful Gala will make this expansion possible.

Attendees will enjoy a silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind vacations, jewels, celebrity meet ups and so much more, as well as a live auction that will include surprise performances. The seated organic dinner will feature herbs from the Seaport’s garden and honey from their cultivated hive.

During the Gala, the foundation will award the Wildflower Legacy Award to The Burton Family and The Ron Burton Training Village, a youth camp founded in 1985 by former Patriot running back Ron Burton, that uses the medium of sports to teach young children how to succeed in life both on and off the field. The Wildflower Impact Award will be given to Bob Strauss, long-time director of Camp Wigwam in Maine for his dedication to the development of young boys. Bob’s early involvement with the family of Wildflower’s founder was the impetus for the creation of Wildflower’s mission.
